Why do it?

Machine Calf Raise allows you to fully exhaust your calf muscles using a significant amount of weight while leaving you in a safe position if you fail.

Tip toes at end Acute angle at start

Instructions

  1. Select your weight or add weight plates
  2. Stand on the machine and put your shoulders under the shoulder pads
  3. Lift the weight stack and stand vertical, then lower yourself down at the ankle

  1. Extend your ankle until your feet are pointing straight down in line with your leg
