Why do it?

Upright Row is a classic bodybuilding exercise for developing the trapezius and the shoulders, giving you the physique of a Greek statue. Some people avoid it due to shoulder impingement.

  1. Begin with a barbell or EZ bar on the floor or bench
  2. Grip the barbell in the center with your hands close together
  3. Stand up straight with the barbell with your arms extended
