Why do it?

Barbell Curls build big arms, locking the wrists in position so that you put maximum weight and strain on the bicep contraction as you work through the full range of motion.

Form Check

Start with arms straight Finish shoulder height No swinging Start fully upright


  1. Begin with the barbell on the floor or a rack at hip height
  2. Grip the barbell with an underhand grip
  3. Stand fully upright with your arms straight
