Why do it?

The Pistol Squat is a challenging variation of the King of Exercises that you can do anywhere. It requires significant strength, balance and practice.

Form Check

Parallel (at least) No wobbling

Instructions

  1. Start from a standing position
  2. Begin with the left leg
  3. Move your weight on to the left leg
  4. Lift your right leg off the foor and keep it straight
Pistol Squat
  1. Send your hips back, keeping your chest up and right leg straight
  2. Lower yourself until your left thigh is least parallel to the floor
Pistol Squat
  1. Raise yourself back up to standing
Pistol Squat
  1. Repeat with the right leg
