Why do it?

Tricep Rope Pushdown is a variation on Tricep Pushdown where you use a rope as a handle, increasing the difficulty and changing the wrist angle.

Form Check

Start above elbow Fully straighten arms Arms locked to body

Instructions

  1. Select the weight on the machine
  2. Grab the rope with each hand
  3. Stand slightly away from the machine

  1. Push the rope down with your triceps until your arm is straight

  1. Return the rope to the initial position and repeat

  1. Release the tension on the rope, returning the weight stack to the ground
