How to Measure Thigh Size
For the closest comparison, measure your thigh unflexed with a flexible tape on bare skin or light clothing. Stand with the thigh relaxed and measure perpendicular to the leg at the midpoint between the hip and knee. Keep the tape flat and snug without compressing the skin, and use the same method each time. Community measurements are self-reported, so individual technique may vary.
Should I measure thigh size at the fullest point or at mid-thigh?
For the closest comparison with these standards, use the midpoint between the hip and knee rather than choosing the largest point of the upper thigh.
Why does Strength Level use the larger thigh measurement?
When users provide measurements for both sides, Strength Level uses the larger one for a consistent comparison. For the closest comparison, measure both sides and use the larger result.
Data behind the thigh size standards
Strength Level analysed 2,595 qualifying results from 109,154 community measurements to produce our thigh size standards. We will continue to update them as more community data becomes available. See our standards timeline.
