How to Measure Neck Size
For the closest comparison, measure your neck unflexed with a flexible tape on bare skin or light clothing. Look straight ahead with your shoulders down and relaxed. Measure around the neck just below the larynx (Adam's apple), without including the trapezius. Keep the tape flat and snug without compressing the skin, and use the same method each time. Community measurements are self-reported, so individual technique may vary.
Is neck size the same as shirt collar size?
No. Collar sizes include garment fit and ease, while this is a direct body measurement. Compare a tape measurement taken at the neck, not the label from a shirt.
